Influencer Encounter | 4/12/21

Still woke up yesterday at 7:30ish after sleeping at like 3ish. Ended up meal prepping for the next few days, so no excuse for eating out this week.

Recorded a couple of Unplugged bhajans (USBs) - really like the Jhule Merey Sai one that'll be published next week. I think solid combo of creativity, devotion and execution.

Then after eating lunch headed over to Optimist Hall to do some work. I really like that space to get work done in. However the main thing is the actual hall WiFi wasn't working but fortunately it connected to another store's WiFi. Was in the zone for a few hours editing USBs, doing my weekly review and writing and sending out my newsletter. Then had a healthy dinner at 2 places I hadn't been to yet so got a poke bowl & a fruit smoothie.

So while I was ordering food I saw a few Indian girls taking pics - more specifically 2 or 3 of them taking pics of 1 in particular. Didn't make anything of it, other than probably just pics for IG or something. Then when I posted my food with the Optimist Hall tag, Gautami was like omg there's an influencer who's at the exact same place. I'm loke who is it? So she sends me Hamel Patel's profile and I view her story and sure enough it was them that I had seen taking pics earlier. Gautami is a huge fan so I passingly suggest I can go say hi to her and her group. I see that she has like 300k followers and posts weekly with some fire content. Also she's pretty af. After a few min of texting, I muster up the courage to go over and introduce myself. I'm like 'Hey is one you Hamel? I posted on my IG that I was at Optimist and my friend who's a big fan of yours saw that you were here too. So just wanted to say hey, I'm Sai." Or something to that effect. Then I let them go on with their evening and I went on with mine. I was a bit nervous for whatever reason but definitely a learning opportunity and a cool experience.

Afterwards, recorded a couple of podcast episodes at Optimist and then called it a day and headed back.
