Earlier this week, a couple of young adults and myself chatted about SOO many relevant topics for a 20something.
All 3 of us were living at home and open to various types of work, while working on our ventures in the meantime. In such a different job market than even 3 years ago, we’re exploring what it’s like to have lots of interests, passions, and income streams.
But also while living at home, the connection that we have with family is much different compared to when you’re living elsewhere. So where does that connection time come into play. That’s something I’m personally wrestling with and improving now.
We also talked about how gambling plays a role in all of our lives. Whether it’s sports gambling, casinos, or anything else. Obviously, the ideal is to do it responsibly and even leave with more than you came in. But there’s also the addictive, financially ruinous sides.
So how do we navigate that while there’s more and more ads being pushed down our throats to make Same Game Parlays and spin the slot machine for a chance to 10x your tokens?
Finally, building community and even intimate relationships can be tough outside of the contained college environment if that’s what you’ve been used to. What does in-person vs a virtual community look like? What can we look out for in a long distance vs living in the same place romantic relationship?
Basically, all REAL AF topics.
But also being spontaneous and talking about the NBA Finals and who we think is gonna win it. Or how we met our significant others.
Cool thing is it’s not a course, it’s not a lecture. It's an open conversation.
No pressure to come every week. Pop on by and if you vibe, come back around :)
